Objectives:

  • Identify the characteristics of DNA samples from PCR that make its analysis by electrophoresis possible.
  • Describe why DNA fingerprints vary from person to person.
  • Compare the DNA fingerprints from different people and draw conclusions from these comparisons.
  • Describe the significance of forensic DNA analysis to society.
